While his band rose to fame and fortune he never stopped mourning the loss of his true love Athena after she completely disappeard.
During a period of forced proximity with Athena seven years later all the sparks that have reignited between them blow out when he sees a photo of her daughter, and the little girl is his spitting image.
Able to become a loving and attentive dad to Elizabeth he’s torn over his feelings for Athena. He still loves her but it’s not so easy to forgive such a huge screw up.
