STANDING ON THE EDGE
She can deny love. She can’t deny him.
Some books entertain you. Some stay with you. And then there are books like Standing on the Edge that quietly remind you why you fell in love with reading in the first place. — Elaya, Goodreads review
ABOUT THE BOOK
Sunny Smallwood learned the hard way that love doesn’t just break your heart, it destroys your life. After losing the greatest love she’s ever known in a single, violent moment, she’s spent twenty-three years keeping her distance, refusing to risk that kind of pain again.
Parker McKay has spent just as long living a lie. As the magnetic bassist for Illicit, he’s everything the world expects. Except what the world sees isn’t who he really is. Now single and finally free, Parker is done pretending. He’s reclaiming his life, his truth, and embracing the undeniable pull he has toward Sunny.
What starts as a slow, dangerous spark ignites into something neither of them can control. Parker isn’t afraid to fall, but Sunny is. Terrified of tempting fate, she keeps love at arm’s length, even as it begins to consume them both.
But some loves refuse to be denied. And when the past collides with the present, Sunny must decide: keep running from what could break her, or finally fight for the kind of love that just might heal her.
